York Log Cabin 5m x 3m - 44mm wall logs, Double Glazed Single Room Log Cabin

The 5m x 3m EV York cabin was introduced by Eurovudas for the 2015 season.  Constructed using interlocking double T&G logs in a 44mm wood thickness, with double glazed French doors to the front with a 3/4 length window either side  of the doors and a double width window on the side wall.  The EV York log cabin would make a great summerhouse to relax and enjoy and create a focal point for your garden.

On request the EV York log cabin can be made up to 2.5m to ridge height at no extra cost to you, meaning that under normal circumstances planning permission is not required.  We would always recommend though that you speak to your local planning authority to check out any rules or regulations in your area that may apply.

This Log Cabin is available with the following optional extras:

Single Window Shutters
Double Window Shutters
Double Door Shutters

Roof & Floor Insulation

This log cabin comes with the option of purchasing our specialist Celotex insulation kits alongside it to dramatically reduce the amount of heat lost through the floor and roof. Designed to fit on top of the roof and under the roof meaning that you won’t lose head height in your cabin and still retain the natural timber look inside your cabin. Please see our insulation page to view more information on our insulation kits.

Roof Covering Options

To help protect your log cabin roof from the elements Bourne rectangular or Hexam hexagonal bitumen shingle tiles are available to purchase alongside your log cabin as an optional extra. These tiles come in a range of colours and typically have a 25 year life span before they will need replacing.

The Hexam shingle tiles have a black shadowing on them for decorative purposes which is designed to be visible when the tiles are fitted.

Free delivery is included to the majority of UK postcodes and is organised by the manufacturer.  Delivery is typically made to your front garden or drive using a Hi-Ab flatbed vehicle which is similar in size to a council bin lorry. The delivery drivers are unable to help you to unpack your cabin or move it to another location once it has been delivered. More detailed information on delivery can be found on our cabin delivery page.

The approximate delivery time for this log cabin is 4 to 6 weeks

Your log cabin is also available with an optional installation service where a recommended and experienced installation team come and install your cabin for you, saving you time and ensuring a great finish. Please contact us for an installation quotation.

You will need to have a firm and level base before installation can take place.

Base Options

All buildings available to purchase on our website will have to be fitted onto a firm, flat and level base to prevent any issues with installation or in the future. Typically there are many different types of base that are suitable for this building, these include Concrete Bases, Paving Slabs, Timber Bases and many more. Whilst all of these options are suitable when level, we recommend the use of ProBase - ProBase is an ultra-strong interlocking plastic base capable of holding the weight of more than several tons. ProBase provides a cheaper and easier alternative to the concrete base, with additional benefits such as drainage and swift delivery prior to your building arriving. For cosmetic purposes, more tiles can be purchased should you wish to have a border round the outside of the building to improve the look of the base.

Timber Treatment

We Recommend Rystix Timbercare

Your log cabin will arrive in its natural raw timber state and will require treatment once installed.

Exterior: We recommend the use of our Rystix Exterior Armadek (water based) due to its drying time especially during the colder winter months.  As recommended by the manufacturer, 3 coats will offer up to 8 years of protection without the need to retreat, saving you the time and money needed to retreat annually.

Depending on application we estimate that this log cabin will require approximately 12 litres of wood treatment to give 3 good coats.

Interior: Please also consider protecting the inside of your timber building as well as the exterior.  We recommend the use of Interior Armafloor and Interior Wood Sealer to offer you premium protection against dirty marks, scratches and other stains.

For more information on the Rystix product range as well as the Rystix product store please see our Rystix product pages

Rystix Timbercare Products

The warranty covers all Eurovudas cabins if installed and treated properly. 5 years for all timber parts 2 years for windows and doors 1 year for hardware of windows and doors

    Impressed by the quality

Posted by Gemma Killingworth on 5th Apr 2017

We were incredibly impressed by the quality as well as how easy it was to put up. Excellent easy to understand instructions. A real life size Lego kit! Erected in a day and a half with 2 men and a 14 year old labourer!

We purchased the log cabin as a games room/chill out room for 2 teenagers and it has been worth every penny. We have our living room and tv back and the kids have the space to entertain their friends it's a win win.

We have insulated the roof, floor and one wall where we have had electric put into the building. Plastered the ceiling and one wall in order to hide cables (easy as husband is a plasterer by trade) We have an oil filled radiator in the log cabin and that is enough on its own to heat it to a comfortable 22 degrees. The wall mounted electric fire we will use for short periods from spring to autumn but it is not as cost effective as the oil filled radiator. It warms up really quickly and retains the heat so we won't need to insulate the remaining walls. We have used it through the winter day and night and have been plenty warm enough sometimes too warm! The double glazing is of a good standard and there has been no sign of any condensation. It is also a very secure building with a good locking system.
