This log cabin comes with the option of purchasing our specialist Celotex insulation kits alongside it to dramatically reduce the amount of heat lost through the floor and roof. Designed to fit on top of the roof and under the roof meaning that you won’t lose head height in your cabin and still retain the natural timber look inside your cabin. Please see our insulation page to view more information on our insulation kits.
To help protect your log cabin roof from the elements Bourne rectangular or Hexam hexagonal bitumen shingle tiles are available to purchase alongside your log cabin as an optional extra. These tiles come in a range of colours and typically have a 25 year life span before they will need replacing.
The Hexam shingle tiles have a black shadowing on them for decorative purposes which is designed to be visible when the tiles are fitted.
Free delivery is included to the majority of UK postcodes and is organised by the manufacturer. Delivery is typically made to your front garden or drive using a Hi-Ab flatbed vehicle which is similar in size to a council bin lorry. The delivery drivers are unable to help you to unpack your cabin or move it to another location once it has been delivered. More detailed information on delivery can be found on our cabin delivery page.
The approximate delivery time for this log cabin is 4 to 6 weeks
Your log cabin is also available with an optional installation service where a recommended and experienced installation team come and install your cabin for you, saving you time and ensuring a great finish. Please contact us for an installation quotation.
You will need to have a firm and level base before installation can take place.
All buildings available to purchase on our website will have to be fitted onto a firm, flat and level base to prevent any issues with installation or in the future. Typically there are many different types of base that are suitable for this building, these include Concrete Bases, Paving Slabs, Timber Bases and many more. Whilst all of these options are suitable when level, we recommend the use of ProBase - ProBase is an ultra-strong interlocking plastic base capable of holding the weight of more than several tons. ProBase provides a cheaper and easier alternative to the concrete base, with additional benefits such as drainage and swift delivery prior to your building arriving. For cosmetic purposes, more tiles can be purchased should you wish to have a border round the outside of the building to improve the look of the base.
Your log cabin will arrive in its natural raw timber state and will require treatment once installed.
Exterior: We recommend the use of our Rystix Exterior Armadek (water based) due to its drying time especially during the colder winter months. As recommended by the manufacturer, 3 coats will offer up to 8 years of protection without the need to retreat, saving you the time and money needed to retreat annually.
Depending on application we estimate that this log cabin will require approximately 12 litres of wood treatment to give 3 good coats.
Interior: Please also consider protecting the inside of your timber building as well as the exterior. We recommend the use of Interior Armafloor and Interior Wood Sealer to offer you premium protection against dirty marks, scratches and other stains.
