Our timber building products are made to order, so items such as our timber garages, sheds, log cabins and summerhouses will have due dates of approximately 4 weeks or more after the placement of any order. This will always be discussed with you upon placement of an order, if it is not advertised on either the product listing of the product you are purchasing or the website.
Where do we deliver?
We offer delivery only to the UK mainland. We do not deliver to offshore locations. Delivery requests to other locations such as Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland and Scottish Islands, will be purely upon request and after individual discussion.
What are delivery costs and timescales?
Delivery charges and estimated timescales for delivery are shown against all products, you will also be notified of delivery times when you place an order. We make every effort to deliver items within the estimated timescales, however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. It is the responsibility of the customer to advise Cabins Unlimited at the time of ordering if there are any access or delivery issues. If there is any issues that we need to be aware of in regards to delivery then please request a site survey document or download one here and we will then advise of any factors within the completed site survey document that will result in any problems upon delivery of your building and possible solutions to these problems.
Cabins Unlimited shall be under no liability whatsoever, for any delay or failure to deliver the products within our estimated timescales. We reserve the right to charge for delivery in the event that incorrect information is provided by the customer to Cabins Unlimited resulting in the redelivery of your order or replacement parts.
Where possible timber buildings, roof coverings and insulation kits will be shipped together and will arrive in one delivery. However if your order contains products from different manufacturers your order may be split into separate deliveries for your convenience.
Lead times can increase around the Christmas period owing to factory and office temporary closures. Any orders placed in this time frame will be handled as soon as possible once the factories and office re-open.
We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address you give us for delivery at the time you make your order. Deliveries are organised and made directly by the manufacturer.
Claims & Damaged Goods
On very rare occasions our goods can receive some light damage during the shipping of our timber buildings. We will always work with our customers to resolve any issues you might have with your order. You must inform us in writing to reach our office, within 7 working days of delivery of any breakages or damages with the product received from us. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
If you notify a problem to us against your order delivered, our only obligation will be at our option:
To make good any shortage or non-delivery.
To replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective.
To refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way we choose.
Risk of loss and damage of products passes to you on the date when the products are delivered on or on the date of first attempted delivery by us.
Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits business or goodwill) whatsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question as stated in the Terms and Conditions.
Cancellation of Custom-Made Orders
This applies to our bespoke or custom-made products such as our log cabins, garages and carports and any other order made to your own specification. If you decide to cancel such an order at any time after production has commenced you will be liable for the cost of work in progress to date of cancellation.
If you cancel such an order after it has been dispatched you will be liable for the cost of the building and the cost of return unless the item is incorrect, faulty or substantially damaged on delivery. Substantially damaged means an item that is damaged that renders the item unfit for purpose. New parts will be sent out for minor damage.
Cabins Unlimited want you to be delighted with any product your purchase from us. If you are not, we guarantee to work with your to ensure your satisfaction and put right any concerns you may have.
If your goods are incorrect, faulty or damaged on delivery you must notify Cabins Unlimited, in writing, within 7 days of receiving your delivery.
We will exchange the product or issue a full refund. If we cannot provide an exact replacement (the item is out of stock or discontinued) we will recommend a substitute as an alternative. If you are not satisfied with this then a full refund will be issued to the original payment card. You have a duty of care whilst the product is in your possession and it is preferable that the product be returned in its original packaging. We will consider the overall condition of the product being returned and we reserve the right to bill for you any damage incurred by yourself or poor re-packaging if the product is returned is in such a condition that the item needs to be reduced in price for stock or disposed.
The goods must be returned within 28 days of delivery. The collection of the goods will be arranged through our nominated delivery courier.
In all instances you must take reasonable care of the item(s) and must not use them. If the goods are to be returned because they are incorrect or faulty you will be refunded in full. If the item is not defective then you will need to return it at your own cost. We reserve the right to charge for collection of the item. The return of the goods will be at your expense.
You have a statutory 7 day cooling off period (with the exception of products being made to your specification) from the day after you receive your order. During this time you may cancel your order at any time and receive a full refund. If the item has already been despatched to you, then we reserve the right to charge for the collection of the item. The above returns policy does not affect your statutory rights
Administrative charges applicable to orders cancelled after being placed, paid for and processed by us.
In the event you place an order with us and for any reason later decide that you do not wish to have the order delivered i.e. you wish to cancel your order, after you have made payment for it, then we will be obliged to cancel down your order for you.
Please do note however, we will deduct the sum of £50 + VAT from the refund of your order payment, to cover our administrative costs involved in contacting and cancelling any services booked against your order from our bank, credit card facility providers manufacturers, delivery companies etc.
In the event you cancel your order after it has been picked from stock and is awaiting delivery, our cost levied will increase to £120 + VAT. This charge covers the costs involved in picking from our stock warehouse, laying out for loading, removing from the loading bay and replacing back to stock in addition to the administrative costs involved. This cost will be taken from your initial payment amount and the balance will be refunded to you, in the same manner in which the payment was made initially.
It is therefore important that you only place your order when you are 100% certain that is the product that you require and will take delivery of, as cancelling an order placed, will result in the administrative charge described herewith.
