The Shetland Timber Cabin from Cabins Unlimited has two large double doors facing to the front that allow the air to flow through into the cabin and create a well-ventilated space. These also benefit when entertaining so that guests and family can move and interact with the outside space easily, creating a sociable atmosphere.
The Shetland has two sets of double sized windows facing the front of the cabin , these allow plenty of light to access the interior enabling you to enjoy the views of your garden and surroundings while relaxing inside.
We can offer 2 build sizes and 2 log sizes –
- The Shetland 44 comes in 44m log size and is 5.75m x 3m with both the double full length windows supplied as fixed (non opening).
- The Shetland 2 comes in 70mm log size and is 6m x 3m with the both the double full length windows supplied as either fixed or opening at no extra cost.
The large size of this cabin means this space can be converted to suit various purposes;
- extra living room – complete with TV or bar, comfy sofas and relaxing furnishings,
- use it as a play area for the kids – keeping all their toys conveniently out of the house
- garden office – enjoy your garden while you work, get yourself connected and you’re ready to be a blossoming entrepreneur
- teenager hang out – games console, bean bags and extra sleeping space means this can be every teenagers dream
When thinking about how you will use your Summerhouse or Cabin Insulation is always advised where you intend to either stay overnight or where you wish to utilise the cabin all year round this will ensure you have the best return for any internal heating source you may wish to choose.
Why not invest in decking for you can choose from timber decking or upgrade to composite decking for that extra polished finish and why not edge with sleepers too? Please ask about any additional groundworks you may be interested as we are confident we can make your dream cabin come true.

Wood is a sustainable and renewable raw material. Each individual log is 44mm thick giving a strong and attractive finish.
Your new cabin needs to be treated or finished to protect the wood and ensure many years of happy use. We recommend Sadolin Super Dec to give a strong long lasting finish. Choose from subtle paler shades of greens and blues to give that a relaxing vibe or more vibrant colours with contrasting windows/doors to pop out and compliment your garden. The choices are endless, we love seeing the finish our customers achieve so be sure to let us have photos when you’ve completed your dream cabin.
