Our sheds are built using panels with a strong internal frame and exterior cladding. This ensures durability, stability, and a neat finish.  The sheds unless requested are sprayed with a "Travel Coat" of preservative.  This protection is designed to give customers time to fully treat their shed with a suitable timber treatment. We recommend that you treat your shed within 6 months with a high quality treatment.  We recommend and supply Sadolin through our shop.  In some areas we are also able to quote for the full painting service of your shed.  Please ask our team.

Yes, both the frame and exterior cladding thickness can be upgraded. Thicker framing improves strength and stability, while thicker cladding enhances durability and weather resistance.

All sheds come with a manufacturer’s warranty covering structural integrity and materials.

Most sheds fall under permitted development rights and do not require planning permission. However, this depends on size, height, and placement, so we recommend checking with your local authority.

We require details of your preferred size, roof style, window configuration, and door type. Larger doors, barn doors, and custom layouts can all be accommodated. If possible a rough sketch will help us understand your requirements.

Yes, bespoke sheds are priced slightly higher due to customization. However, the configurator ensures you get a building tailored to your exact needs.

You can choose from different roof configurations, including apex and pent styles, depending on your preference and garden layout. Whilst Standard Shed Roof Felt comes as standard you can upgrade to shingle tiles, cedar shingles or Tapco Slate effect tiles on Apex models and EPDM Rubber for Pent Roof Models.  EPDM has a very long life so will not need to be replaced.  Standard Shed felt usually lasts between 5-10 years before it needs to be replaced.

We also offer professional installation services with our own employed installation team if you prefer a hassle‑free experience. Many customers prefer us to install their building especially as they may not have the technical ability, experience or tools required.  Our teams are very experienced and offer a very high quality of service backed with years of many exceptional reviews. If you are using a third-party fitter, then take care to ensure they have the correct experience.  As our fitters are all directly employed by Cabins Unlimited, we are best placed to install your building. Check if your shed supplier has their own team as many outsource with negative consequences should something go wrong. Not something you will experience with Cabins Unlimited!

A solid and perfectly level base is essential for any garden shed. We recommend our Eco-Base Plastic Grid System called Probase owing to it allowing water to drain away from the base of the building but other alternatives including concrete pads, paving slabs, or a timber frame foundation to ensure stability and longevity.

Yes, bespoke sheds allow you to specify window placement and style. Our configurator allows you to locate your window in any wall.  Standard sheds usually offer left or right wall placement.

Standard sheds are ideal for storage and seasonal use. With upgrades to framing, cladding, and insulation, bespoke sheds can be adapted for workshops or more frequent use.  Please talk to our team about insulation and cladding options on our sheds.
